High School Choir CompetitionTM 


"Does Your Choir Have What It Takes?"

This competition emphasizes competitive high school choir singing that spans across the United States. We seek to award the best choirs in the USA. There will be a First, Second, and Third Place prize awarded. The winners will be selected based musicality, tone, ability of soloists, and overall presentation. All combinations of voices will be judged equally. All performances and adjudication will be done via the simple online process outlined below.

How to apply:

Step 1) Video record your choir singing no more than 15 minutes of music.


Step 2) Pay the Application Fee of $50 via our payment portal:

YOU'RE DONE! We will automatically be notified of your form submission and payment.


Application Deadline - Received by January 25, 2019

Special attention will be given to choirs who present contemporary pieces written in the 21st century. American Vocal Arts encourages the performance of pieces written by women and minority composers.

*Rules

1) Choir must be comprised of at least 8 members (9-12 grade, any mixture).
2) Youtube.com VIDEO submissions must not exceed 15 minutes TOTAL length. We will not accept audio-only submissions.
3) At least one of the pieces selected MUST feature a soloist.
4) Multiple languages are encouraged but not required.
5) A cappella and accompanied pieces are allowed. Any instrumentation is acceptable as long as the quality, tone, etc. of the vocalists can be distinguished.
6) Application fee must be submitted before application will be considered.
7) Must receive prior to the January 25, 2019 deadline.
